Add the ability for users to enable a 24-hour clock (military time) in the CAD status/task bar, ideally in the upper-right corner. Also include an optional setting to display the current date and local weather conditions based on the user's location or assigned base.
Users could choose which of these elements to show or hide through settings.
How It Helps the End User:
Dispatchers and field teams often operate in time-critical, shift-based environments where clarity and awareness are everything. Adding a consistent clock and date display in the interface provides:
Quick visual time reference—especially important for multi-agency teams and when documenting timelines
A 24-hour format that eliminates AM/PM confusion and aligns with healthcare and aviation standards
The current date always visible for reports or call verification
Optional local weather data that helps teams anticipate delays, route changes, or safety concerns—especially useful for flight and ground teams
It’s a small feature with a big impact on situational awareness, and one that brings CAD in line with modern interface standards.
