Attach documents in Alerts

We are wondering if it’s possible to attach a document directly in the Alerts Register module when creating a new alert?

Currently, we need to upload the document separately and then add a URL and link to it in the alert. It would be much more convenient if there were an option to attach the document directly within the module instead.

Is this something that could be considered?
