Scheduling Software Integration for Auto-Populating Crew Roles

Enhance CAD’s integration with external scheduling platforms (e.g., WhenToWork, UKG, CrewSense) to allow automatic population of crew roles—such as Nurse, Medic, EMT—into the CAD system based on the active schedule.

Once integrated, the system would pull shift data in real time or at regular intervals and auto-assign staff to their appropriate roles on the correct teams/units.

How It Helps the End User:
Today, assigning crews in CAD can involve manual entry or duplication of effort, even when accurate role assignments already exist in the scheduling platform. This can lead to:

• Delays in updating the CAD

• Incorrect or incomplete crew rosters

• Extra administrative work for every shift change

Integrating with scheduling tools would:

• Eliminate redundant data entry

• Ensure accurate crew rosters with roles applied correctly

• Support real-time crew tracking and accountability

• Reduce dispatcher/admin workload, especially during shift change or call volume spikes
