Prepopulate Caller Info in the Referrer Field

Add functionality to automatically fill in the Referrer (caller) information—either by:

  • Pulling it directly from an integrated phone system (based on caller ID or known extensions), or

  • Storing frequently used caller info (like hospitals, charge nurses, or comm center staff), similar to how patient records are stored for quick reuse.

How It Helps the End User:
Right now, dispatchers often manually type in the caller's name and details, even when it’s someone they talk to multiple times a day or week. This adds up over time and introduces risk of typos or missed info.

Prepopulating caller info would:

  • Speed up call intake and reduce data entry

  • Improve consistency and accuracy in documentation

  • Allow dispatchers to focus more on the call content and less on repetitive fields

  • Help with tracking and reporting by standardizing referrer names

This enhancement brings a smart layer to the intake process—automating what’s repetitive, while supporting a more modern, connected workflow.
