Custom Background Option for CAD Screen – Customer Branding Enhancement

Allow customers to upload a custom background image to their CAD screen to enhance branding and personalization.

Currently, Flight Vector allows customers to personalize certain areas of the platform by uploading logos for reports and indicating “Training” on the training CAD. These features offer a small but appreciated level of customization.

I’d like to propose expanding on this concept by allowing customers the option to upload a custom background image for their CAD screen. This could be a subtle watermark, organizational branding, or even a station/unit-specific image. It’s not about overwhelming the interface—rather, it’s about adding a small personal touch that helps customers feel like the system is more “theirs.”

This feature would:

• Improve customer engagement by giving the CAD environment a personalized feel.

• Support internal branding initiatives for health systems, air medical programs, or comm centers.

• Help boost employee pride and familiarity through the inclusion of familiar visuals like base photos, logos, or mission-related imagery.

This would be completely optional, with controls to ensure the background doesn’t interfere with readability or functionality. Even offering just a soft background layer or transparency option could make a big difference in user experience.
