Current Issue:
The AirMaestro system currently lacks proper audit trail functionality for finding extensions during independent audits. When auditors apply extensions to finding due dates, the system only updates the due date field without maintaining any historical record or justification.

Specific Problems Identified:

1. No Extension History: The system does not log when an extension was granted

2. Missing Audit Trail: No record of who authorized the extension

3. Lack of Justification: No field to capture the reason for the extension

4. Insufficient Reporting: Global reports do not provide finding-level extension details

5. Compliance Risk: Inability to demonstrate proper oversight during regulatory reviews

Implement an extension tracking module that captures:

• Extension grant date and time

• Authorizing auditor details

• Original due date vs. extended due date

• Justification/reason for extension
