A number of customers require the ability to insert an Add Action control into custom forms.
Examples of use cases include:
For the Safety Reporting module, this would be very useful when raising actions that are applicable to individual items on the agenda of a meeting. (Currently we are obliged to insert a field named 'Action Reference Number' for each agenda item. The user completing the minutes is thus required to click on the 'Add Action' button in the report toolbar, raise the action, and then enter the action reference number into the afore-mentioned field).
For the Forms module (from which it is currently not possible to raise actions), this would be useful
For the Check Forms module (from which it is currently also not possible to raise actions), this would be useful when a training exercise (e.g. an ERP rehearsal) reveals a deficiency in procedures, which needs to be resolved by means of a corrective action.
As a User who is completing a customised form, I would therefore like to be able to raise an action from within the form by clicking on a Create New Action control/button.
When I click on the Create New Action control/button, I would like Air Maestro to open an Action pop-up window which is the same as the pop-up that opens when the Add >> Action dropdown is selected in the toolbar of a safety report.
When I click on the Create Action button at the bottom of the pop-up I would like the form to display the text entered into the Action Required field AND the reference number of the action.
Question: Would it be possible to link actions raised by means of such a control to the custom form from which they were raised and, in addition, to alter the action reference prefix according to the type of form from which actions are raised?
