Deleting of audit non-conformances on the Audit if accidentally opened.

This will benefit the Auditors to have control on their own findings. If a findings was created accidentally and you only cancel it still shows on the Audit Schedule that for example 9 of 10 was closed and not 10 of 10 due to the one was only cancelled. It still counts it as a finding that was not closed. For external auditors this is confusing and cause unnessary questions.

The auditor should have the ability to delete a finding if it has been entered in error. It does remain the auditors prerogative to however ensure that this is done with care, and only in instances of absolute necessity. I do also agree with the fact that this function be available only to the applicable auditor that is generating the findings, thus if working on Audit A001, then only the auditor working on A001 must have the delete ability up to the Request Sign-Offs.

Administration rights can be given to only the auditor allocated to the audit to be able to use the delete button. This will eliminate unnecessary deletion of findings by unauthorized personnel. This function will also eliminate additional workload on the auditors to immediately be able to load the findings on Air Maestro prior debriefs. If the finding was not accepted it will be easy to delete the finding where it was captured on the Air Maestro System.

I think this will open the door for all non-conformances to be "accidentally" deleted, unless it can be made an Administrator function.

Yes, This function is so important now that most of us have to do desktop audits. There are many instances where I would like to delete a finding.
