A number of clients have requested an Inventory Management Module.
Based on the Aircraft Register, the module could include the following functionality:
Ability to create (and group by) categories/types of inventory (e.g. PPE, Tech, Tools, etc.).
"Add New Inventory" function with fields to capture:
Manufacturer name
Model name
Serial number
Description (e.g. colour, size, etc.)
Supplier (preferably linked to suppliers in the Contacts register)
Category
Inventory Documents allowing attachment of copies of invoices, operating instructions, images, etc.
Inventory status setting/indicator (e.g. Stockroom - New, Issued, Stockroom - Used, Written Off, etc.)
Stock Issue/Return function - allowing issue to, or return by personnel.
"Track Item Recency" option (On/Off) - allowing user to choose whether or not to track recency per item (as per current functionality in Aircraft/Company Recency).
Inventory register - allowing:
Overview of all inventory on hand, showing:
Item name
Quantities per status
Recency status
Filterable by Base, User Name, Inventory Type, Inventory Item, Status, etc.
Other useful features applicable to this module:
An Inventory drop down list for use in various customisable forms (Flight Records, Hazard and Risk Register >> create controls, Safety Reports, etc.).
The ability to link certain inventory categories and/or items to other inventory categories and/or items. E.g. link a specific bambi bucket to an aircraft rego, or link a certain type of LiPo battery to a certain type of UAV.
Please can we implement this?
Suggest that this register include aircraft, vehicles and machines. I.e. it would be an extension of the current Aircraft Register.
